2003-07-30 1:45 PM All you bookmakers and zinesters, stand up and be counted! Okay, so today's my day for asking random questions.
As I'm trying to put together Intracities, I'm wondering what the hell you call the format for a 52-page zine. You know, when you take 13 pieces of legal-sized paper, fold it in half, then use all four sides as pages. The layout and pagination gets all crazy when you do this, of course -- pages 1 and 2 are on the same piece of paper as pages 51 and 52, and the pages 3 and 4 are on the same sheet at pages 49 and 50. Etc etc etcetera! So, is there a term for this? And does either PageMaker or Quark Xpress do this (or hell, even MS Word or FrameMaker)??? I'm sure the first 2 do, but trying to decipher the software is making me nutso. Any help from experienced folks would be GREATLY appreciated. Feel free to leave a Comment or email me. Thanks in advance -- you'll get a special mention in the antho when it's done. And a free copy, if you'd like! And if all else fails, I'll just get out the scissors and glue sticks. :) Read/Post Comments (18) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
