Aw crap, another day's gone!

Hell's bells! Another day has slipped past, and I didn't get the time nor energy to write what I'd wanted to write. But still in all, it was a pretty good day.

Y'see, Lizzie starts her new job tomorrow, so at the VERY last minute, I decide to WAH (Work at Home) again, so we got to have lunch together and I can wander away from the computer for a while and harass her while she cleaned the kitchen cupboards (don't ask!).

I did manage to scribble a little bit on my collab with Jay, and maybe tomorrow I'll do more on that (note to self: get your ass up at five a.m., you slacker!), or maybe dive back into the SF novel again. The clock's ticking on September, and with the October Novel Dare fast approaching, I've got to get all my ducks in a row.

Then I can start knocking them off with the metaphorical pellet gun. Ptow! Pteeow! Quack!

Of course, the Day Job continues to keep my hopping, so I didn't get anything done until after 5 p.m. today. But hey, at least I didn't haveta commute. And best of all, I got to see Lizzie all day long. Whenever I wanted. Later!

Today's Quote:
The sun was lighting the Spiked Mountains behind us when I looked back for the first time since leaving the Scorched Hills, my robes and girdle finally dry inside and out from the wind I drew forth from the flatland scrub around me. The smell of shit, however, hung heavy in my nose. Rega was spattered with the filth.
