Just getting caught up from a busy busy weekend of house-paintin', drinkin' (see previous entry for reason why!), goin' to the renn-faire, watchin' "Get Shorty," doin' taxes, runnin' around, cuttin' grass, buyin' Dave Matthews tickets, runnin' around, eatin', and other busy stuff, and all I have to show for it is a handful of words I was able to squeeze out between projects at work today.

But I did start reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien again, and that makes me happy down to my tired, furry toes.

Most of the snow from the unexpected, late-season storm had melted outside, but the cold and the wind remained. For once, Claudia was glad to be inheriting Jake's taxi. At least it would be warm, even if it would take all ten of the evergreen-shaped air fresheners in her coat pocket to rid the vehicle of the big man's body odor.
