More Web Site Shenanigans...

More Web Site Shenanigans I'm in the process of updating various Web pages from my personal site to match the look-and-feel of my new home page, and I've been working on my Gunning for the Buddha page off and on all day.

You see, I've not gotten any reader reviews of this little book on Amazon or Barnes&Noble.com (most likely because not many people have bought the book, I'm afraid), so I thought I'd try something fun.

Go check out one of the stories from the collection that are available online. If you can make it all the way trhough it to the end, go to either the Amazon.com page or the Barnes&Noble.com page (or both!) and write a quickie review of the story.

I dare ya!

Here are the stories from my book that are currently online:
  • "Gunning for the Buddha" (a wacked-out time-travel story with talking camels and muscle cars!)

  • "Crossing the Camp" (the first of my Wannoshay stories I wrote, and maybe the best)

  • "Explosions" (another Wannoshay story, with a cool illustration of the alien Nonami)

  • "Wantaviewer" (a longish Wannoshay tale, but starring one of my favorite characters ever)

  • "The Disillusionist" (weird alternate history, including a demented magic show and a dead president)
Also, just for kicks and giggles, you can read two stories from my collection that are still eligible for Nebula/Hugo/Stoker/any-other-award-thingy voting:
  • "An Outrider's Tale" (a retelling of an old myth, with vigilantes!)

  • "Black Angels" (A battle between good and evil -- with a little greed thrown in for good measure -- in an Iowa City cemetary)
So there you have it. Some stories to read if you get bored, and a mini-review to write if you like what you read.

Best review gets a signed trade paperback of Gunning for the Buddha, so you can read the damn stories in print and not kill your eyes staring at your computer screen! Happy reading (and reviewing, if you wanna!). Later...
