Just about there, and nine months already!
Sixteen Miles progress:
I almost finished up the elusive chapter six this morning, but ran out of time. And to think, I'd been up since 4 a.m., plugging away on it. It was a rough night -- Drew's getting some more new teeth in, plus I think the coming storm from Hurrican Ophelia was making the pets restless. Which resulted in intermittent sleep for Lizzie and me. Ugh.
As for Mr. Drew, he of the six teeth and counting... He turned nine months old today! How cool is that? When I told him this morning about it over breakfast, he was a bit shocked:
I can't believe it myself -- the kid just keeps growing and growing, and his personality keeps evolving. He's also developing some great standing and cruising and "getting-up-and-down" skills. Just last week he couldn't get down easily from standing up next to the couch, for instance, without taking the occasional tumble. Now he's a pro at it. Mostly.
He also has made it hard for me to take a good picture of him, because he knows what the flash looks like now. Hence, Mr. Squints:
Oh well, I tried, right? Now, to get more caffeine. Later!
