Finally, finally got all my files off my dying Windows box and onto the shiny new iMac. Took me most of the day yesterday. Don't ask. Tried to wipe the hard drive, but the floppy drive won't work as a boot drive, so I stuck the whole works in the closet and hope it'll just go away.

Now all I have to do is rip the rest of our CD collection onto our hard drive and iPod, return the printer I got (it's way too big and not needed -- an impulse buy), finish getting the last of the iPod accessories (a case and a holder for the car -- I should invest in iPod accessory stock), recycle/donate the Windows machine (anyone need a flat panel screen or scanner or mouse?), and then, maybe, just maybe, I can get back to some writing work. Man, that'll be nice.

Oh, and read the last 2 Harry Potter books after seeing (and enjoying) book four at the theater last week.

Today -- more turkey with my side of the family! Woo woo!
