Mood: Happy vellum-time's day! Read/Post Comments (5) |
2006-02-14 12:15 PM A busy 14 months Just a quick note today to say happy Valentine's to everyone, and to wish Drew a happy fourteen-month birthday. I guess at some point we'll stop keeping up with the monthly "birthdays" just like we stopped with the weekly "birthdays," but for now it's fun to stop and take note of how much the little fella has grown.
Case in point: Here's Drew hanging out in Mom and Dad's office this morning in his Choo Choo Jammies, looking for fun stuff to explore. Drew continues to amaze with his walking/running skills (though when he's tired he still tends to do the drunken stumbling thing), and he'll surprise us with his smarts -- just last night he was playing with a cow and a duck, and I told him to get the duck book, and he pulled out one of the three animal-shaped books from his box of books (okay, so it wasn't the duck book, but it was close -- the pig book!). Right now I'm trying to teach him to say "Love you." I wanted to teach him "Duke sucks," but figured that could wait until next month. On another note, last night Elizabeth watched the first three episodes of "Lost" on DVD. Good stuff, especially the way they keep teasing out the different mysteries and histories of people. I also like how nobody is the way they seem at first. I also like that someone usually bites the dust in each episode... Some of the opening infodumps to get people up to speed at the start of each episode is annoying, but can be forgiven because hey, it's a TV show. They have pretty high production values for a TV show, that's for sure. Anyway, I'd better run. This was supposed to be a quick note. But I leave you with one more shot of the youngster: Have a good one! Later... Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
