2006-10-17 4:58 PM "Mainstream" publishers... Quick question -- does anyone know of a mainstream publisher that takes unsolicited novel submissions?
I hate that term, "mainstream," because it basically means "not genre," and the publishers that ARE mainstream don't refer to themselves in that way. So how you supposed to search for them? They usually just call themselves "publishers" or "literary publishers." As if genre writing isn't "literary." Whatever. I'm trying to find some places to query directly, since I'm having trouble with agents for The All Nations Team novel. But the only one I've found so far is Algonquin, and I already sent them the novel and got my rejection... Anyone know of a good online resource that lists these kinds of publishers? Thank ya, and later! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
