Ah, 2006, I have to say, I'll be glad to see ya go! There have been some good things -- new job, new house, more fun with Drew as he grows and learns and changes, a bit of traveling with Lizzie, even sold a novel! -- but lots of challenges this year.

It's all a part of life, I guess. Not only have Elizabeth and I had a sort of rough year, but family and friends have had their share of hard times as well. I wish I had words of wisdom, but rest assured -- I'm still hanging in there!

(Don't ask about the falling shelves today in our garage, okay!)

And there ARE good things on the horizon -- writing is picking up again, Elizabeth and I have been enjoying our time off (a whole weekend together! What a treat! And one more day tomorrow!), and there's always more stuff to do and learn...

At some point I'll write that journal entry I've been planning to write about voice and storytelling -- Guess it'll have to be next year!

Now, Drew's in bed, we have a good movie to watch ("Little Miss Sunshine"), and if we're REALLY ambitious, we'll make it to see the new year arrive. Have a great one, everyone! Later...
