Down to one week left before Mitch's arrival -- provided he doesn't try to make his debut early, before the scheduled c-section! I'm pretty much done with all the novel promotion I care to do -- I hate doing that stuff, and I apologize for throwing it all here all at once. But I doubt I'll have much time to do it after the 13th of this month...

I think we've pretty much gotten everything set up for Mitch now -- the crib has been adjusted and set up (though he'll be in a bassinet for the first month or two), Lizzie washed all the baby clothes and related stuff, and the ceiling fans have been installed. Even the lawn has been cut one last time. We'll be cleaning the house from top to bottom on Saturday, and then we'll be set. I hope!

I think I've been sub-consciously catching up on my sleep in the past few weeks -- no getting up at o-dark-thirty to write. I've been grumpy about the lack of writing, but I'm getting okay with some time off. It helps that I started reading Tim Powers' Drawing of the Dark (at last!) this morning, and I'm hooked. I want to read more. That's just what I need -- something to read just for fun. Not for research or for other nefarious purposes. Just reading.

Speaking of Mr. Powers, I'd like to share an excellent, very in-depth interview with Tim, one of my favorite writers. Great stuff. He always seems to be having fun, whatever he's doing. Check it out!
