I'm not very familiar with Booklist, but I'm inclined to like them after reading their review of The Wannoshay Cycle. I can't share the whole review yet, since it's not coming out until their December 15th issue, but here's the last line:

Jasper imagines what first contact might be beyond Wellsian invasion—not hostile, necessarily, on either side, but rife with conflict due to misunderstandings and the problems faced by both cultures.

Nice. They seemed to have really gotten what I was shooting for. And the best part is that Booklist seems to focus on libraries, and that's where my publisher does the bulk of their sales. So some good buzz can't hurt.
