health, week five

9.5 down, 70.5 to go. Haven't been counting calories per se. Mostly just a few simple things -- only eat half of what they serve when I go out to eat, try to eat things that are not outrageously dense calorie wise (like the large Jack-in-the-Box vanilla shake that weighs in at 1100 calories), try to enjoy feeling full, don't eat when I'm not hungry, eat stuff that tastes good.

The first 10 pounds is never very hard for me, each 10 after gets harder. But I'm just trying to enjoy a sense of sobriety for now. And, from a spiritual perspective, I'm trying to receive a new relationship with food as a gift rather than as an attempt at self-domination.
