2005-06-01 10:27 AM The things you cannot control -- baseball and life I guess life is a balancing act between exercising control and offering our openness to the world. Life, much like baseball, doesn't yield to pure determination. You can hit the ball harder than it has ever been hit and still make a routine out. You can throw a 'perfect' strike and still have the umpire call it a ball, of the batter knock it out of the park.
So the question seems to be how can you enjoy the game of life? I confess I don't enjoy it as much as I'd like. I might not sign up for the fall league if given the chance not to.
