Okay. I confessed to being a halloween scrooge, and I'm not much into horror, but I do like the original Frankenstein movie and I love Young Frankenstein, which I'm happy to say my daughter pulled off the shelf for viewing the other night. When Frankenstein (Wilder) suddenly, in desperation, pulls out the self-esteem talk I crack up every time.

But even better is the sense of shared memory, shared humor, shared beauty, etc. that the arts can create between people. My wife and I don't have an "our song," and she's not much for spoofs, but there are those movies that have been shared so many times they are deeply rooted in our life together.
