2002-10-29 11:14 AM I'm so not up to date Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content Okay, so I'm pretty lame when it comes to keeping up to date with my journal. Mostly I just forget or really don't feel like writing anything. It's been 3 months since my wedding and I never wrote about it! Not that there was nothing to write about, but I just got busy, and not so busy. It was a fantastic day, but I needed to have someone else coordinating the event as well. I had too many details floating in my mind, so when things didn't go as carefully planned, it upset me. So, I was stressed quite a bit, but felt great after a while. It was such a beautiful setting, so even through the stress, it was amazing. I could go on and on, but it would have been much better to have written right after the wedding instead of waiting 3 months! The honeymoon in Costa Rica was awesome too! A 5 Start resort, right smack-dab in the middle of a jungle. Lots of rain, iguanas, monkeys and nice warm ocean water. Just one bug bite that went "funny", but the doctor here gave me a massive dose of antibiotics which probably killed any foreign bodies in my body. It was a scary 24 hours though. I kept envisioning bug larvae and amputation...ick!
It's been a crazy 3 months since the wedding. We've had some financial bombs hit us all at once, which were no fun at all. Some scariness with Scott's job where we were sure he would be laid off by the middle of November. Then the people who own our condo decided to sell it. They thought, for some crack-induced reason, that it would take 6 months to a year to sell. I didn't believe that for one second. However I thought we wouldn't have to move until sometime after the new year. Nope...2 weeks from the time we found out about them selling, they sold the place and gave us 30 days notice. They're very nice people, but the timing for this move sucks!!!! I'm not working, and Scott's job hangs in the balance (although he's got another 6 month grace period). We decided to move to Thousand Oaks to be closer to the ocean (it's just over the Santa Monica Mountains about 15 minutes away) and to be closer to my sister and her family. It's a nice place, and getting nicer as time goes by. I didn't think we'd have much luck finding a decent place in our budget because of credit issues, but we found a place and are moving this Friday, Nov. 1. ::PHEW:: We hired movers and are ready to go. I'm not going to be much help anyway because of, well, read the next journal entry... Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
