2010-02-03 11:13 AM Headspace Instead of going through the whole sordid story, I'll just point you over here to catch you up on some of the "professional" stuff I've been dealing with.
You know, I don't think I'm the only person that feels if you ASK me something, I'm a lot more likely to comply than if you DEMAND. Or, to clarify, if you explain your reasons and discuss it in a civil manner, you might be able to sway me to your line of reasoning. Of course, in this case, as a dear friend said, the truth's the truth so there you have it. **** I met the deadline over the weekend, but I had to write 9k words on Saturday and 7k on Sunday. One last chunk due this Sunday and I'm happy to see the end of this project. I'm trying to get my headspace into the spot it needs to be to do it, and I'm having a hard time of it. I'm looking forward to writing on a different subject. ANY different subject. I don't think I'll be taking on 100 articles on ANYTHING EVER AGAIN. But, I'm taking the positive spin that I truly have pushed my limits and now I have a better idea of what I'm truly capable of pulling off. **** And that's about all the writing news I have. OH...except there is a new hashtag on Twitter called #storystarters. It's a writing prompt, the start of a story in 125 characters. A few have caught my eye, but one in particular has sparked some deep thought about Pallas and her continuing saga. "Snorting the ashes of the dead like some coke addict should have bothered him more than it did." I see some great possibilities there. I believe after this project is finished, I may just Get Down to Business. :) Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
