I thought when my student returned to China things might slow down a bit and I could catch my breath. I was a little worried about work -- you know how it is, freelancing. It's either feast or famine, and rarely is there a sane balance. Which might be why this career appeals so much to me, heh.

Anyway, almost immediately after Quin Sun's departure, I was contacted by an occasional client and offered a gig editing a book about cross stitch translated from Japanese. Not just editing, either -- included were some pages that need copy which is "quirky and fun". I think I can do that. The deadline is tight so I'll have to hump it, but I love this kind of work so it doesn't really seem like work. That will be three craft books I've edited this year -- awesome. She keeps coming back so I must be doing something right.

This is on top of some other work, so I iz a busy Netta. Busy is good, but I will admit to a certain level of exhaustion and a burning desire to work on my own shiz niz for a change. But, I certainly am not complaining. Not about work, anyway, although I will admit to bitching about the gorram 100 degree heat we're experiencing. This is awful.
