Where Have I Been? Guess!!
Yep, it's been a while, but I've been busy, busy, busy! And this is a good thing. The work is going well, I have some editing gigs in the process and upcoming, and I love my job. It doesn't get better than that.
Oh wait, yes it does! I have also put together and am self-publishing my first collection of flash fiction. :) I am so excited about this -- and autographed copies of "Not Nice and Other Understatements" is now available for pre-order. Squee! This is a collection of all my published and un-published flash fiction, in one convenient and handy-dandy volume. Introduction and cover art by Joseph Paul Haines; cover photo by Donna Bertonica and additional graphics by Stacy Taylor. I am really thrilled about this.
Just indicate on your order form under "Note to the Merchant" how you'd like it inscribed, and I will be happy to do it. If left blank, I'll autograph it as I wish :) Heh.
This is just for pre-orders for autographed copies, which I hope to start shipping out sometime next week. After that, it will be available at Amazon and other retail outlets, as well as available for the Kindle and other e-readers.
Go on. You know you want to get you some :) Feel free to share the link, tell your friends, get a tattoo or shout it from the rooftops. It was a very interesting experience, and one I intend to repeat at some point. With the release of this volume, I feel good about proceeding apace with "Athena's Promise", the story of Pallas, to submit through traditional publishing channels first. In some strange way, the publishing of "Not Nice" has cleared a lot of demons for me.

In the midst of all this, I did manage to pull out a visit to my Muffin and the GC and It Was Great. I still hate the holidays, but this year it's going well and I never saw that coming. Go figure. :)
