my dd has been wanting a cell phone for about 2 years. i didn't think she needed one, however, after thinking about all the activities she has now where a parent isn't present i thought it was time, for my own peace of mind, that she had one. just look at that smile!!!!! she has limitations set - like only talking on it to friends during "free minutes" times which means all weekend, and in an emergency situation otherwise. and she's ok with that. i also had text messaging turned off altogether. i'm not completely stupid!!!

what amazed me is that as soon as she got the phone she started snapping pic's and loading them into the address book like she'd been hard-wired to know how to do that. i still have to stop and think about all the steps involved in that.

how did we ever survive without such things growing up??? it's great to have technology like this tho, like i said for my peace of mind if nothing else.

now she can't wait for tuesday. my sister bought her a hot coach purse in the bahamas last weekend and it's being shipped here from florida to arrive on tuesday. won't she be all that with her cell phone in her coach purse??? oy vey - i don't even own a coach purse!!!!! i did tell her tho if the cops come looking for her she better hide it!!!!!! hahahahaha she's only slightly paranoid about it!!

the best part??? now she's gotta be nice to me or i'll have something to hold over her head!!!!! :)
