this new flick starring Armand Assante is rather boring and totally shakey in spots. its a mishmash of gangwars, serial killings, and drug selling and it did not work. too many plot holes, too much silly filler material, and too much boredom...maybe 2 dead babys cuz Im feeling charitable tonight. :O


got my copy of Heavyglow Flash Fiction Two Years Burning Brightly today. looks pretty good, too. theres a boatload of short stories--59 tales, 3 from my warped mind, all under 750 words and many under 100--sure to entertain just about any taste in reading, and at just under $10 delivered to your mailbox, it seems worth it. most of these stories Ive read as a member of HG, and many are based on prompts I myself posted...so thats kinda an added bonus for me.

it was, in layman's terms, motherfucking hot today. over 90 degrees here in ahia. tomorrow is 'posta be hotter. me & my brother are installing gutters on a house--I have to go on the roof to secure the gutter straps and lemme tell ya...I aint happy. we had to call it a day early cuz it was just too damn hot to be on a roof. I got blisters on my hands from holding on. should be finished early tomorrow, but then got a job with my bud John building a roof over a deck, so aside from the intense heat, Ill be way up in the air--closer to the sun...but as ya'all know, I love it.

time to watch Murderous Intent. I hope to hell its better than lastnight's choice. up and coming (tomorrow, should be) is Hard Candy (an internet child molester meets-up with a young girl and tries to...well, you can guess. it looks like he [the perv] gets whats coming to him--previews look great), Lies & Alibis (a great looking film from what Ive seen), and The Net 2 (I didnt know it was out. its a direct-to-DVD film, but the previews look really cool.)
