the way the gun works is ya pull the trigger back and push it down--it fires. if you keep the trigger pulled, you can shoot several nails, which if you ever watch a good roofer, he'll make a sound like a machinegun: bangbangbang, slight pause to set the next shingle, then bangbangbang, and repeat. well...yesterday morning I forgot to release the trigger, set the gun against my leg to set the next shingle, and whack--I nailed my pants to my leg. it was in tight, too, I couldnt pull it with my fingers, had to use a tool to jerk it out [I said fuck and damn it and shit and fuck a few more times]. now an eighth-inch diameter pointy thing rammed a slight bit more than an inch into the side of a thigh doesnt really sound all that painful [and at first it wasnt, I worked all day] but believe me, it is. after work I limped pretty damn good. I dug-up a few painpills and mixed 'em with a six pack of bud light; thats what my coworkers said a doctor would prescribe and I believed them. today, theres a bit of swelling and a deep pain [minor-ish, actually]--prolly jazzed a muscle or something--and the bandage was only a tad bloody so I think I might live. and oh yeah, I aint limping nowhere near as bad. so there, now please send me all kinds of sympathy, okay? national treasure book of secrets is a fantastic movie. if you liked the first one, you'll dig this one too. and I aint saying that just cuz nick cage is in it; I watched some of 'bringing out the dead' the other night [where cage is an ambulance driver] and I just couldnt get into it. I think I did a few sudokus while it played. okay, shit, late for work, got~sta boogie ladies & gentlemen. see ya when I see ya, yes? Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
