been one motherfuck of a winter... but now the sun shines and people're letting go of their money a bit. which equates into work for the likes of me. YAY

and aint it funny, I was strapped tight from early nov til about three weeks ago, and not once did I bounce my bank account. I got several auto-pays and somehow managed them during the cold winter months. then, now that Im working 6 days a week and money is no longer the biggest issue, I freaking bounce a payment. thing is, I forgot to go to the bank and give them money knowing damn full well that my truck insurance was due. and sheesh, I even drove past that damn building several times here this last week anna half...but I just didnt put 2 and 2 together, I didnt throw money at my account and now...damn, 35 bucks up in smoke.

anyway, gonna be on the first roove of 2010 tomorrow bright'n early. been doing ceiling work last coupla days. I dunno if Im up or down, I guess...

got competition workwise. fuckin idjit mokes from the southeast are canvassing the area. we had a nasty storm last week and it left lots of storm damage. so these fuckheads from texas and such are stealing our work. plus, sad tale is, when they do a roof or siding(or whatever), then they leave. if a shingle blows off, the homeowner is fucked. someone local will get the repair job, which is good in a sense, but what about warrantee? what about the little old woman who overpays for a roof repair, then has to pay again when it needs fixed?

I dont like it for both those reasons--the loss of work and the customer's issue with any follow-up.
