10. Fewer dates with the breastpump. 9. Thanks to regular nursing breaks, my basket of Interesting Things to Read is actually getting cleaned out. 8. The weekly staff meeting, which can easily drag into the noon hour, comes to an early and efficient close thanks to the grumbly in her tumbly. 7. It adds a certain energy to a church when the pastor has a family. 6. During her awake times, people come in, chuck her under the chin, and leave smiling. 5. Because of the timing of Elevensies, I only had to listen to the Easter sermon twice instead of three times in a row. (Even the best sermons in the world don’t need to be listened to more than twice.) 4. Being there the first time she got her feet into her mouth. 3. People are less likely to pop in with “a quick question” if there’s a chance she’ll be asleep. Consequently, fewer interruptions when I’m working on something. 2. I get to think out loud without being looked at funny… ”Should I keep this old session agenda, or do you think I can toss it, sweet little baby boo-boo?” 1.
