mother's day

From little she-who-is's Mother's Day card made at preschool:

How old is your mother? I don't know.
What does she like to eat? Guacamole.
What does your mother like to do? Play.
I like it when... she brushes my teeth with the Cinderella toothbrush.
If I had a million dollars I would buy my mother... food.

I've had a nice morning; R made caramelized french toast, and the divine miss m gave me a late morning--slept until 7:30.

When R asked C what she wanted to give me for Mother's Day she said, "shampoo." So Friday night while M and I were in Small City over the Mountain, they drove to the nearest Aveda store and bought a big honkin' bottle of Rosemary Mint shampoo. Love that stuff.

Speaking of Friday and Small City, all went well, except for the traffic from hell. I arrived at the conference five minutes before my group was to begin speaking. Not my normal MO. Unfortunately I couldn't reach anyone on their cell phones or at the church, so they were getting ready to wing my part.

M and I leave in just a few hours. I hope to blog from the road, but if not, talk to you on Friday!
