can this relationship be saved? and other thoughts

Nursing relationship, that is.

The divine miss m has been on strike for 24+ hours. I've offered at various times today but she twists and shrieks in a way that says, "I am So Over You."

I know this is common at this age, although for some it's just a phase. So we could easily wean and be done. Or I could power through in expectation that she'll be interested again soon.

I'm torn, but leaning toward "Feeling a little grief, but SO ready to wear dresses and normal undergarments."

---------

Random thoughts from worship today:

- Handbells are lovely, but a very old-fashioned instrument. We've had trouble 'staffing' a full bell choir, and is that a surprise? You *have* to be there. It's not like a voice choir in which one alto can be missing and the others will fill in. That level of commitment seems very quaint at a time when many of our most faithful members do not come close to perfect attendance in worship. Is the lack of a bell choir a great loss? Or yet another thing we cling to in the church that seems outdated, from another era?

- If the bulletin says "Communion Meditation" and yet it's 17 minutes long, is it still a communion meditation?
