It seems that the family next door had a big powwow (we could hear them up and down the block) because the yellow of the house turned out to be egg yolk yellow, not sunny yellow. Their plans for the trim and the shutters to be antique rose (a Mediterranean color scheme, so they tell me) have been replace by egg yolk yellow and white. Not off-white; arctic white. Nice to know any prospective burglars will be struck deaf by the loud color and blinded by the glare.

We won't have any more trouble giving the pizza delivery person or our friends directions to the house. Just turn down the street behind the school and park next to the gdawful yellow eyesore.

And yellow was my favorite color....
