It was a long day--we got in line about 10 a.m. and didn't drive away from the studio until 5 p.m. The actual taping lasted about an hour.
It was interesting--and loud--but I wouldn't do it again unless it was a show I really, really liked and watched regularly. Since I rarely watch TV (Law and Order, NCIS and AFV are mostly all), it's not likely that I will ever do that again. Mostly I remember the physical discomfort--standing in line until my feet and legs ached, needing desperately to pee, then sitting for an eternity on a wooden bench and then enduring eardrum shattering music (good, though too loud) and finally clapping and whistles and shouts for the star of the show. Ellen came across as a funny, caring, intelligent and occasionally sarcastic/sardonic person. I liked the easy way she talks to people and the understated wit. If I watched television during that time slot, I would probably watch her show. It was good to get out and do something different, get out of the rut. Staying home and replaying the same old arguments is a drag. So, what's next? Looking forward to adventure! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
