Starting out quiet today. I'm hoping to have time to work on the report that is due Friday. Yes, this Friday. Imagine that! A report that actually has a timeline built in to prepare and review it before it's due. Yesterday's report had one hour in which to research and present it. That is more normal around here. Management by crisis. There seems to be a mythology that people work better under stress against impossible deadlines. At least, that was the rationale as explained to me when I protested the constant string of crises.
