A nice low-key Saturday. Did 3 loads of laundry; took Norm to the VA to get an MRI, put away groceries. Finished reading City of Pearl by Karen Traviss. A bit uneven, a bit rough, but eminently readable. Dinner was in the slow cooker all day and the whole house smells savory, a nice contrast to the wet earthy smell when I stepped outside.

Cats are cuddly (Who, me? Go outside in this stuff? You have to be out of your teeny weeny so-called mind!) and the dog is gorked on her favorite step, halfway up and halfway down (No cat is going to get past me, nossiree! ZZZzzzz....). On the alert, as always.

Time to choose another book to read (no shortage of possibilities around here) and then off to bed, listening to the rain on the roof. It's a great life.
