We celebrate and encourage the diversity of heritage, culture, beliefs, and experience shaping our individual visions of truth. I rather like this one. A topic to meditate upon: Life is shaped both by individual experience and by (group) cultural heritage. We translate our compassion into sharing, our longings for peace and justice into action. Absolutely. We challenge ourselves to live by our principles by bringing healing and hope to the larger community. As a child of the 60's and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, this is my credo. We honor the transcendent mystery of creation by nurturing the planet and all who live upon it. This one causes me to be uncomfortable; it echoes creation myths and creationist "science". A mystery? Transcendent (beyond our senses and experience)? What do you think? Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
