Holy Blood, Holy Grail

Read/Post Comments (2)

I haven't read Holy Blood, Holy Grail in quite some time, but after all the recent controversy, I'm considering scouring the bookshelves up here and in the garage until I find it, and then re-reading it.

Have any of you read it? What did you think of it? As I remember, there were some remarkable conclusions, backed up by facts and circumstantial evidence and the authors' inferences from other sources. The book is certainly a good discussion starter!

My Jewish friends agree, by the way, that Jesus was most probably married (marriage at Canae), because young Jewish men of that day and age married. Period. None of this, "I want to wait till I find the right woman, Mother" nonsense. Being unmarried was unthinkable. I don't know (I'm not a scholar of that era), but it makes sense to me.
