I found some numbers yesterday on a website that I thought were interesting. Consider that the population makeup of our schools foreshadows the population composition of our city in the near future:

American Indian/Alaska Native...........0.3%
Asian....................................................3.8%
Black...................................................11.6%
Filipino................................................2.2%
Hispanic.............................................72.8%
Pacific Islander....................................0.3%
White...................................................9.9%

What an amazingly variegated group we are in southern California! We are the world, though not in the same proportions.
