It's a nice cool Monday morning in the upper 60's and I am home from work nursing a recalcitrant knee.

I feel faintly guilty, as though I should have gone to work, never mind the pain, because the whole edifice would be in danger of collapse without my presence to keep it going.

And I'm a bad person to stay home and take care of myself. Oh, the Puritan Ethic is alive and well and living in southern California.

Time to go flagellate with a wet noodle.
