2006-12-08 9:05 AM Pearl Harbor Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) I've been reading an article in the New York Times on the 65th anniversary reunion of the Pearl Harbor survivors in Hawaii.
The description of Pearl Harbor was "a sneak attack" by the Japanese. Give me a break. Did anyone expect the Japanese to announce it ahead of time? But the word "sneak" is such a good pejorative, let's trot it out one more time and attach it to our erstwhile enemy. By the way, there was advance intelligence on the attack, which was either ignored or suppressed or for some other reason not acted upon. So much for sneakiness. How about incompetence?
