2006-12-22 8:46 PM No Place Like It Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) We went out a-erranding today. At 4 p.m. RT decided he needed to do this and that and the next thing. I said fine, here are the keys to the car. He said his balance was "off" and he'd really like me to come with him.
Now you understand that he's an owl. He sleeps till noon and is just getting ready to do something about 4 p.m. or so. Me, I'm a lark. I get up on weekends and vacation days about 6 and by 4 p.m. I'm ready to wind down for the day, make dinner, enjoy a bit of evening and go to bed around 10 or so. However that may be, RT and I went out to do battle with the gods of credit cards and store shelves. It's Friday and everyone is cranky, hungry and in a hurry to get home before sundown. Traffic is a mess and most people have forgotten the rules of the road, let alone the courtesies. We made it safely through, nerves only a bit shredded; we remained civil to each other (because I refused to rise to the bait) and it's home again, home again, jiggety jog. There's no place like home with a warm laptop, a snoring dog and a purring cat. He forgot to get the main thing we went out for. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
