I finished reading The Vor Game yesterday in utter solitude
Day off from work tomorrow.
It's 11 a.m. and 80 degrees! My poor fruit trees are SO confused. Many mutterings are being heard about this being "earthquake weather" and, superstitious though I'm not, the saying sends a frisson along my spine. That 1994 emergency is stamped indelibly on my memory (I lived only a mile from the epicenter). Shiver....
