"Most of the bosses are in prison or retired...." Just last year, 90 made men were arrested in New York alone (where else?)".
The success has been attributed to financial (banking) police work and recruitment of turncoats; as the old guard passes away, their college-educated children (education paid for by drugs, prostitution and extortion) now have MBAs and are turning to Wall Street. Things are so bad, the Families are turning to anyone with an Italian connection, no matter how tenuous, with little success. The outcome is that Russian gangs are moving in. The glory days of the Godfathers are over. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
