We're reorganizing. The worst of the managers is about to become my boss. Why? Because I am the most knowledgeable, able to produce prodigious amounts of work and keep things going along smoothly. While my manager will spend the day (has done so all the years of my employment there; not going to change now) schmoozing and partying and I don't know what-all.

Well, nothing for it but to hunker down and endure. I've done it before; I can do it again. Log everything I do and how long it takes and triage the incoming for priority level and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

And I can't retire, though now I want to, more than ever before. I'm down in the dumpies, got a bad case of grumpies.
