And it was a sun day, too. High of 79, clear, sunny (did I mention the sunshine?) and virtually no wind. All the green things rejoiced, and the ones with fur luxuriated. We silly humans climbed into our metal meanderthal machines and went to church, came home.

At church we sang Faure's "Agnus Dei" fairly well, though when we do the entire Requiem, we'd better nail all those notes just a little better. It was kinda shaky.

After the service, we had a lunch provided by the management--oops, I mean the board. They fed us lunch to put us in a receptive mood (we Unitarians love to eat and love to talk) and then we held our congregational meeting.

I must have gotten distracted for a bit, because pretty soon everyone was clapping and shaking my hand. Somehow or other I managed to be nominated and elected to the board of directors--or whatever they (now we) are.

Must look up the description of my duties and when and where the board meets, because the board, it is I. Me. Whatever.

In reality, I'm honored by the trust and recognition of the community and I'll do my best to do whatever they need done.
