My NetZero access has died, something wrong with user name or password or network. Well, no kidding. That pretty well covers it.

So I'm using the world's slowest dialup. Not bad. I get to read War and Peace a chapter at a time, while I wait for stuff to download. Especially if graphics are involved.

Speaking of technology snafus, I wondered why several gas stations I passed this week had the gas price "stuck" at $3.99. It was that price on the way out and the same price on the way back, when everyone else had gone up 3 cents in just the one day.

Seems that the pumps that have to be changed manually can't go higher than $3.99. Back in the day, no one would imagine gas costing more than four dollars.
