The database is available to men seeking to find the surname of their biological fathers, and even perhaps the individual himself.
Is this fair to men who either did not want to acknowledge or raise a child--or to men who did not know they had impregnated a woman? Let us hope that men can protect their privacy from the unwanted intrusion of putative sons. There should be no sense of responsibility attached to the sowing of one's seed. Should there?
