Since the temperature was in the 90's and the humidity not far behind, I spent as much time as possible in places boasting air conditioning: Trader Joe's, Ralphs Grocery and home computer room.
I did, I am proud to say, manage to get the kitchen floor stripped and re-waxed before the worst of the heat drove me away. The groceries bought today will all result in meals that will not heat up the kitchen in the process of preparation. Can you say "salad" and "cold rotisserie chicken"? How about "iced tea"? Thought you could. In weather like this I get up at 5 (normal time) or 6 (luxuriantly an extra hour of sleep) so that I can get the worst of the housework that requires physical exertion done. Today was the floor (see above), laundry and folding and putting away thereof. Then out to get groceries and put away, or separate into smaller containers and freeze. Plus treats for my friends-in-fur. Hot dog! Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
