The Los Angeles Unified School District serves 653,923 meals each day to students. I was astounded by the sheer size of the number, so I thought I would google up the total enrollment for LAUSD. K-12 enrollment for last year was 694,288. Kindergarden through 12th grade. Not counting teachers and other employees. Contrast those numbers with the total population for the entire state of Alaska: 670,057 for the same period. Unbelievable: 24,231 fewer Alaskans (men, women, children) than LAUSD students. Does that mean that the Superintendent of Schools for LAUSD is more qualified for the VP slot than Sarah Palin? Read/Post Comments (8) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
