In my line of work, our company drivers make the last of our deliveries at 5 p.m. or so. And, as happens every year after Daylight Saving Time goes into or out of effect, I have been getting complaint calls that start out, "It's dark at 5 p.m. Too dark to be getting deliveries."

I am SO tempted to say, "And what do you expect me to do about it?" in my most sarcastic voice. "Turn the sun back on again?" But I stifle myself and make sympathetic noises, and they mumble on for a while and eventually hang up. They can, of course, choose not to do business with us, but in the end mostly they just want to complain.

Baby, it's dark outside! Just wait till it gets cold, too.
