I've seen many out of state license plates in the last week. Reading license plates (and license plate holders) is one way I keep my mind on my driving and away from daydreaming (i.e., not paying attention to the road).

This week I've seen cars from Colorado, Washington, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Louisiana, Idaho, North Carolina, Nevada, Virginia, New Jersey, Georgia, Texas and New Mexico.

Did someone say oil was a non-renewable resource? I'm seeing a resurgence of SUVs and Hummers around here, coming back into use; as gasoline prices drop, people in my part of the country don't care any more (it seems). So much for enlightened self-interest.
