By the middle of the day the temperature was 81 degrees, quite pleasant if you like that sort of thing.
I spent most of the day doing this and that--dishes, planning meals for the week, schmoozing the cats, reading. I doing what Sue calls geek reading. It's by Sarah Norgate, Beyond 9 to 5 Your Life in Time. She explores the many ways that we regard, and are affected by, time. Many influences--biological, psychological, social, cultural, generational--come into play, analyzed on global levels as well as personal. The current chapter is "Experiencing Time: The Case of the Twenty-First Century Mind." Speaking of personal time, I can hardly wait to have enough leisure time to read it. I'll send it on when I'm done. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
