My poor tomatoes....but nothing compared to what's happening in Santa Barbara:

The fire went from tame to explosive Wednesday afternoon as gusts up to 50 mph in triple-digit temperatures hurled the fire from north to south into neighborhoods. It remains out of control this morning. We can see the smoke in the sky over the San Fernando Valley.

All those people, rich and poor, who lost their homes...my heart goes out to them. High today of 100 anticipated; no relief in sight.
