OK, I know that cats are obligate carnivores. But, as Eric asks, where did they get their taste for fish? My cats would turn themselves inside out, if they could, for a share of my salmon. Do cats go fishing?

And wherefore the taste for beef? When was the last time you saw a cat bring down a steer for dinner?
