Arrived in New Orleans after flight from LAX to Houston, and from Houston to New Orleans (be darned if I can remember the three letter code--it's not intuitive).

Trip from LAX to Houston was very rough--lots of turbulence--and not able to push seat back to sleep because I was in the last row (in front of the galley). Second leg of trip was comfortable, but too short to catch up on sleep.

I'm tired (only two hours' sleep) but excited and looking forward to Saturday's flight eastward.

Suitcase is borrowed one and is, unfortunately, falling apart. The zipper is separating from the body of the bag. I'm worried that it will become unusable before trip is over.

We've been talking nonstop and having a great time. Wish you were here.
