Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (3) The sub-contractor who's supposed to mail out notifications to our clients didn't do as promised--or, worse yet, our IT department didn't send the correct information to the sub-contracor in time--or, the United States Postal Service took over a week to deliver first class mail.
I don't know which of the three scenarios is the correct one, but, bottom line, it was a madhouse today, with clients wanting to know the information and phone lines jammed beyond capacity, people receiving inquiries too fast to be able to stop long enough to research them and reply. The stress level was so high our boss went out and got us makings for root beer floats. I was sorely tempted, but not willing to indulge. Even for ice cream.... I'm still sitting here with a pile of complaints, requests and research to be done, taking a break to communication with y'all and then back into the fray. This is my least favorite time of the work year, but at least it only happens twice in a calendar year, and this is the first (and I hope the only) time the informational letters have not gone out on time.
